Welcome to Jump Rope!

Jump Rope is a virtual jump rope for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Press the Start button and begin jumping using your iPhone or iPod Touch as if it were the handle of a jump rope. Just flick your wrist like you would with a real rope, and Jump Rope does the rest.

Harnessing the power of the built-in accelerometer, Jump Rope tracks the number of jumps during a jump rope session and remembers how long you've been jumping. While you're jumping, Jump Rope plays sounds as a motivator and to help you follow your progress.

When you've finished jumping, press the Stop button and Jump Rope automatically records the number of jumps, time clock, and date in the Log. The Log also calculates the jumps per minute for you.

Jump Rope has settings for toggling the sound and adjusting motion sensitivity. You can also select your hand preference, to use Jump Rope ambidextrously.

Jump Rope is great for adding periods of exercise throughout your day. You can use it as a simple means of becoming more active or as part of a more demanding workout routine. And since no real ropes are involved, you won't need to have perfect balance or precise timing to benefit from Jump Rope.

So, the next time you find yourself standing around waiting for the bus, watching television in your living room, or simply looking for motivation to get moving, just pull out your Jump Rope and start jumping!
