Advantages

• More democratically produced
• More credible due to more stakeholder involvement and expanded dialogue
• More data is always better than less data

Disadvantages

• Approaches, other than traditional evaluations, are unknown and thereby suspect
• The values of inclusive evaluation can be threatening to some stakeholders such as those with power
• Value commitments are not consonant
• Considerable stakeholder disengagement and apathy exist
