In Class Paper

Read the short essay found on My Blog dated Wednesday, July 2, 2003. Write a reaction paper, 2-3 pages in length.
This paper can be written in any style, formal or informal. The only "rule" is that your ideas be presented in a clear and
thoughtful manner.

To get you started consider the following questions.

• Do you agree or disagree with the assertions in my blog entry?
• What are your own views on same-sex marriage?
• Should the government be involved in the issue?
• Do all secular governments or societies operate ideally?
• Can you think of any governments (historically or currently) that do not operate ideally for its citizens?
(Hint: Think axis of evil).
• How do TV and/or other media typically deal with the issue of homosexuality?
• Can you think of any media examples?
• Are financial reasons appropriate for deciding the legality of private, personal matters?
