Praxis is directed at a specific end but its aim is not to produce an object but to realize some morally worthwhile good: "The 'good' for the sake of which practice [praxis] is pursued cannot be 'made,' it can only be 'done'". Furthermore, the ends of praxis are not immutable or fixed but are constantly revised as the goods internal to a practice are pursued. Practical science demands an intellectual and moral disposition toward right living and the pursuit of human good and hence a form of reasoning and knowledge that is practical-moral (phronesis). (Schwandt, 1997).
