Quality Research

1. Objectivity- means that the research should not be biased by the investigators preconceptions.
2. Generalizability- how well the findings of the study apply to another sample or to the general population.
3. Reliability- each time the conditions that yielded the original data are repeated they should yield the same results and independent observers should agree in their descriptions of the results.
4. Validity- means that the data being collected actually reflects the phenomena that the researcher claims to be studying.
5. Replicability- means that other researchers can use the same procedure and obtain the same results.
