General Requirements Paper 3

This paper is an argumentative essay on the topic of language. You may use my Language Links and the Language Lecture notes to guide you in the writing process. Also, please see chapter 6 in your textbook Fieldworking as another reference. You must use one of the following theses in your paper:

• Standard English should/should not be the only language variety accepted in schools.
• People should/should not be judged by the language variety they speak.

This paper will include 9 citations in MLA format and must be at least 9 pages in length, size 12 font. The largest font you may use is Courier.

The grading for the third project is as follows:

• Rough draft 1 and Conference 1 attendance-10 points
• Rough draft 2 and Conference 2 attendance-10 points
• Rough draft 3 and Peer/Instructor review-10 points
• Final revised project-70 points
